Joy, Owner + Stylist
Joy has a passion for collaborating with individuals and inspiring them to embrace their uniqueness, as she believes it is the essence of their beauty. Specializing in color, cut, and styling for curly hair, Joy places a particular focus on promoting the health of her clients' hair. During consultations, she guides and educates clients in developing their personalized healthy hair care and beauty routines.
"Maintaining healthy hair is a priority for me, as crucial as having a job. Ultimately, hair extensions or coloring are just enhancements to the foundation of healthy hair," says Joy.
Keeping abreast of the latest style trends and techniques, she offers a diverse range of options for a diverse range of clients, from highlights, ombre to balayage and texture. Recognizing the personal nature of style, Joy conducts individual consultations, emphasizing the importance of choosing looks that complement each person. Collaborating closely with clients, she co-creates and flawlessly executes personalized plans, leaving everyone at The Hair & Image Studio feeling prepared and confident.
Beyond client education, Joy extends her expertise to training both clients and her team of stylists. As an owner, she values teamwork and encourages her team to seek support when needed, demonstrating her commitment to a collaborative and supportive salon environment.
Joia, Esthetician
Joia is a licensed esthetician in the state of Colorado, launching her career by graduating from Aveda Institute Denver, and continuing her education with certificates in dermaplaning, microdermabrasion, and lash extensions. Specializing in services such as brows, facials, waxing, lash extensions, and makeup application.
Before becoming an esthetician Joia's insecurities with skin concerns of her own throughout years gave rise to her passion for makeup, skin health, and product knowledge. After struggling with mild acne she took it upon herself to learn how to achieve makeup looks and find popular skin care products that seemed to work for influencers on social media in hopes to lessen the appearance of acne and dark spots. Only coming to find out makeup was only making her skin worse and not all of the products she saw that work for others on social media will work on everyone's skin.
Because Joia knows the effects that social media can have on one's confidence, she wants to release clients from the unrealistic social media norms of the need for perfect skin and help clients create a realistic skin goal, with both her services and knowledge of the products to help clients keep up with services she provides. The goal is not perfect skin, the goal is healthy skin.
While providing services Joia's number one goal is to provide clients with a safe private professional space to conduct these services in, and to make sure all clients leave with a memorable relaxing experience, give guests the tips tools needed to maintain services, and the confidence to slay the day!
Tyra, Stylist
As of 2022, Tyra is a licensed cosmetologist in the state of Colorado. She initiated her career journey at the Aveda Institute of Denver and is presently advancing her skills through an apprenticeship under the mentorship of Joy, the esteemed Master Stylist and owner of the Hair And Image Studio. Having successfully completed her 90-day training period, Tyra currently holds the position of Designer Stylist at T.H.I.S.
Now working independently, Tyra is rapidly establishing a loyal clientele and honing her skills, earning a reputation as lead stylist. With an ardent passion for all things related to hair, beauty, and fashion, Tyra's confidence and positive demeanor mark her as both a leader and an invaluable team player. Proficient in working with diverse hair types and textures, Tyra specializes in color, cutting, and blow-out styling. As a dedicated healthy hair care stylist, she is committed to assisting all clients in achieving the hair of their dreams.
